The original Mark 1 trench knife was created to replace the less effective Model 1917 and 1918 versions — ditching the triangular blade for a double-edged flat blade that could actually perform in the field.

When the U.S. needed knives fast, the first Mark 1s were ordered from Au Lion in France. This modern version pays homage to that history while adding a clever twist — it’s built to incorporate real 1911 gun grips.
