How do you know if your 1911 will accept standard size 1911 Grips?

Hole spacing: Measure from the exact center of the top grip screw hole to the exact center of the bottom grip screw hole. Standard full-size (Government and Commander) frames measure 3 1/16″ (77.8 mm).

Panel height: Standard full-size grip panels run about 4.25 inches long from top to bottom.

Thickness: Standard thickness is roughly a quarter-inch (0.25″), unlike slim/thin profiles which measure about 0.163 inches and require specialized bushings.
