Description
Stabilized Amboyna Burl Knife Handle Scales
Take your custom knife builds to the next level with these Stabilized Amboyna Burl Handle Scales! Each set has been carefully treated through a professional stabilizing process that enhances both durability and visual appeal.
The stabilizing process involves submerging the wood in a liquid resin, then placing it in a vacuum chamber for approximately 1.5 hours. This pulls the resin deep into the wood’s grain. After soaking for an additional period, the scales are oven-cured to harden the resin, resulting in a tougher, longer-lasting handle material. Often, dye is added to the resin, creating vibrant depth and character that highlights the unique burl figure of the Amboyna.
No surprises here—the photos are of the exact item you’ll receive, so you know precisely what your project will look like before it begins.
